MOI: Six drivers criminally prosecuted for reckless vehicle management

Over the weekend, six drivers have been deprived of their liberty due to reckless motor vehicle driving, the Interior Ministry said. Most cases relate to driving under the influence of alcohol.

In Prilep on the street « Pece Koteski », police officers from the OVR Prilep arrested MS. from Skopje, who was driving a « Iveco » truck. During control it was found that there were 1.90 promil alcohol in the blood.

Police detained DK on Boris Kidric Street in Stip. (37) from the village of Hlegovo, Kratovo, who was driving an Alfa Romeo passenger car with Kratovo license plates. Alcotest showed 1.52 promil alcohol.

In Kicevo on the local road between the villages of Vranestica and Staroec, there was a traffic accident involving two vehicles. In the driver MJ (33) from Kicevo, who drove Mitsubishi, was found to have 1.72 promil alcohol.

On the regional road Zelino – Jegunovce, in the village of Preljubishte, Tetovo, police arrested DM. (58) from the village of Filce, who was driving a « Lancia » with Tetovo license plates. He went off the road, and the alcoholic showed 2.24 promil alcohol.

In Gevgelija, on the Boulevard « Gevgelija », PP (30) from the village of Miravci was driving a vehicle under the influence of 2.01 promil alcohol, causing a traffic accident with material damage to two parked vehicles.

On the Skopje – Tetovo highway, near a gas station, police detained NV. (31) from Kumanovo, who drove a « BMW » with Kumanovo license plates. He drove 175 km/h to a section where the permissible speed was 80 km/h.

The Ministry of Interior informs that all persons have been detained and appropriate criminal proceedings have been brought against them.
