MOH approved new protocols in combat injuries

The Ministry of Health has approved four new clinical protocols of « combat injury », which should provide assistance at the hospital and pre -hospital stages.

In the Ministry of Health toldthat the next group of protocols concerns the treatment of mild traumatic brain injury, including concussion, as well as conditions that accompany it:

  • headache;
  • sleep disorders;
  • dizziness and visual disorders.

Recall clinical protocols implementto create a systematic approach to medical care. According to First Deputy Minister Sergey Dubrov, documents are a translation of Joint Trauma System, which is used in NATO member countries.

According to him, this procedure of assistance is aimed at reducing mortality and increasing the survival of injuries.

Doctors should follow these standards in the treatment of wounded at hospital and time -hospital levels. At the same time, doctors can use other international rules that allowed Order of the Ministry of Health No. 751.

If patients complain to a doctor, then when considering them, the clinical and expert commissions will find out whether the protocol specialist adhered to.

« Of course, the Ministry of Health cannot be deprived of a diploma or held liable, but these conclusions may be grounds for a decision by an investigative body or court »– the First Deputy Minister added.

Earlier department approved 23 New Clinical Medical Assistance Protocols for the Treatment of Combat Trauma, in particular, primary care for eye injury, vascular damage, fractures and limb amputation.
