MobilePay launches great news – will all users benefit

Specifically, this means that Danish MobilePay users can in future send money to, for example, the Spanish payment service Bizum without having to log into Netbank or know foreign payment systems.

The new countries already have millions of users in their respective payment apps, and overall, cooperation can potentially reach out to more than 100 million Europeans.

The measure paves the way for a common digital payment infrastructure in the EU, where mobile payments must function smoothly – no matter what country you are in.

« With this collaboration, we ensure that Vipps and MobilePay users will be able to use their own wallet in more and more countries and more and more things, » says Jeanette Hertzum, country manager for Denmark at Vipps MobilePay.

The collaboration is a step on the road to a future where boundaries are no longer an obstacle to how and how quickly you can send money.
