In the recently played match of the Red Star Filffinals, the new Pazar Coach Red-White Vladan Milojevic has decided to start with these 11 football players: Glazer – Seol, Rodic, Đurić, Anan – Kanga, Elšnik, Ilić, Milson – Duarte, Endiaj. Thus, in the starting lineup of the current champion of Serbia and the Cup conquer, there were as many as eight foreigners.
I may have « counted » a bit, but I’m sure there’s more than 150 foreigners in our superligastic clubs at this moment. What is still more deteriorial for Serbian football is the fact that more and more young players, mostly from Africa, who play competitive matches in Junior competition. I’m not a nationalist, even fewer racists, but … Let’s buy and nurture home.
It is not true that there are no talented children in Serbia. In the genes of people from these spaces is a ball game (football, basketball, volleyball, water polo, handball), needs « just » to work with them. There should be « talent hunters » as Tomislav Milićević and Dušan Trbojević, who visited the most detailed schools, villages and Sokake and found children who promise every day.
Coaches of younger selections must be not only excellent connoisseurs of the football game but also pedagogues. Unwritten, but at one time it was in the star, partisan and OFK Belgrade (which I know) was a rule « You have no aues. It wasn’t just enough to handle the ball, for someone to become a good football player, he must use his head too.
Today, the coaches of younger categories sit in their armchairs and wait for their parents to bring them their « talented » children, or that their managers « serve » the future Messiah, Ronald …
Of course, in such a situation, coaches dedicate significantly higher attention to these children and when compiling a team, children whose parents are sponsors and the kids brought by managers. Therefore, it is not surprising that neither our selection – U-17, U-19, U21 failed to election placement in the final championship.
I am aware that from selling tickets, marketing and revenue from selling TV rights can barely pay electricity and water bills. Yes (disproportionate) The state’s help is also not enough for the normal functioning of the club and that the sale, above all, youth footballers are inevitable, but …
January last year, Red Star sold Kost Nedeljković and Jovan Mijatović. There is no use of that sale – the star lost two kids who could (had to) be the bearers of the club game in the next three or four years, Nedeljković and Mijatović did not advance, on the contrary. The star got a « fist of dollars », and she could … only those who participated in this (and all similar) transfers earned.
A similar scenario is also in the case of Andrija Maksović. Zvezdan Terzic convinced Maksimovic that he was better than Jamala, that at least ten, very probably twenty million euros at the football market. This summer will also sell it, short-term, will also earn Maksimović and Zvezda and, of course a manager. In the long run – they are all (we) at a loss. The interests of football players, clubs and representations are irrelevant.
