During the meeting, Greece’s priorities during her term at the UN Security Council (2025-2026) and international and regional developments were discussed.

The prime minister welcomed Antonio Gundere’s efforts to restart and maintain talks on the Cyprus issue, while expressing his satisfaction with the re -appointment of Maria Achela Holgin Kuyarar, as his personal envoy to his Secretary -General.
The latest regional developments have also been discussed with the emphasis on Gaza, as well as developments in Syria and Lebanon. Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that the immediate truce in Gaza, the protection of civilians and the initiative in this direction is necessary.
EU commitment to reunion based on UN resolutions
