Miteva: 28 Temporary Work Prohibition Solutions Released, Legal Subjects Worked Without License or Fulfilled Minimum Technical Conditions
The State Market Inspectorate (SMI) After the tragedy with the fire at the Pulse Club in Kocani, from 17th last month to yesterday performed 297 oversight of catering entities, disco clubs, restaurants, coffee bars, cabarets, guests and 360 offenses. Of the 23 legal entities with an active license in 17, irregularities have been found in the part of fulfilling minimum technical conditions, Government spokesman Maria Miteva said at today’s press conference. The oversight was concerned with regard to the fulfillment of the minimum technical conditions and other provisions envisaged consent the Law on Catering.
-A total of 360 misdemeanor payment orders have been issued totaling 3 million 436 thousand denars, 28 temporary prohibitions for performing activity that have carried out an activity without a license or without fulfilling the minimum technical conditions and 12 solutions for removing irregularities for misdemeanors established in accordance with the Law. Of the 23 legal entities with an active license in 17 entities, irregularities have been identified in the part of fulfilling the minimum technical requirements The last report we gave to the public were 15, today are 17 and information has been submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Labor – said Miteva.
According to seven buildings, irregularities have been removed and requests have been carried out additional control that has shown that the deficiencies have been removed, for which information has been submitted to the line ministry. Other legal entities that did not have an active license or submitted a request to the Ministry of Economy and Labor and did not perform activity currently under constant monitoring and appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the law. Miteva informed that control is still ongoing and as a Government expects a detailed report from all nine departments of SMIs competent on the territory of Macedonia for these 297 controls and legal entities to be submitted next week.
– With this we want to reassure our citizens that this is not a one -time answer or short -term engagement strengthening institutional responsibility and the return of public confidence remain our long -term priorities and we will continue to approach such issues with increased focus consistency and responsibility. We understand the public interest in this issue and assure you that we will share all available and verified information at our disposal – said Miteva.
Answering journalist questions, a spokeswoman said a total of 28 decisions were issued for a temporary prohibition on doing business, which did not have a license or failed to meet the minimum technical conditions and 12 to remove irregularities. The entities have found that they have not met the minimum technical conditions provided by law and have been denied activity, and information was sent through the Ministry to the Ministry of Economy of Inspection. Clarifying what irregularities it was, she added that other legal entities that were doing business without a license or found that they did not meet minimal-technical conditions currently under constant monitoring, prohibited by the activity, which the Ministry of Economy was informed.
« According to all the legal procedures available at the end of this extraordinary, I would say Supervision that makes SMI together with all institutions including the Ministry of Interior, the Financial Police, the Labor Inspectorate, the PRO, I expect that all measures available at disposal, » Miteva said.
Answering a journalist question that investigates responsibility why some facilities have worked for some time without a license, Miteva added that at this point the SMI’s control with other institutions to establish a factual situation is being carried out.
– I am sure that during the control and determination of such situations that are subject to your question today, an appropriate procedure will be initiated for all those who should determine for those who have worked contrary to law will be imposed specific payment orders and will be banned from doing business. There must be responsibility, so I say this is a situation that is not short -term we do not go with unilateral control we will continue – said Miteva.
As for the data presented at the SMI’s press conference on March 7 this year when the director announced that there were 30 items in the processing of irregularities and where almost all major markets were covered, Miteva pointed out that the record should be checked and the information would be checked.
