Missing Belgian (53) suddenly appears at Hotel in Liechtenstein after days of searching

Two days after a large-scale search for him was set up, a 53-year-old Belgian tourist suddenly turned up again at his hotel in Liechtenstein. The reason for his disappearance is still unclear.
The Belgian had been gave up as missing since Wednesday after he had left his hotel the day earlier, but surprisingly, on Friday morning, his hotel in Malbun, a ski and walking area in Liechtenstein at a height of 1,600 meters. The man was injured and was immediately taken to the hospital.
According to the first reports, the 53-year-old Belgian slipped on a steep site and fell no less than 150 meters down. It is not clear where he has been in recent days. The State Police has opened an investigation.
Wednesday, when the large -scale search was started, the police also sent out an investigation message. « The man, with brown hair and glasses, wore a black jacket, blue jeans, hiking shoes and a beige backpack, » it was read in it. It was suspected that the man was in the vicinity of the more than 2,300 meter high Augstenberg.
It is also not yet clear whether the costs of the day-long search and rescue operation will be for the victim’s account. That will depend on the findings of the investigation.
