Misic Annie Suukunda: ‘I am also a victim of the same cosmetic surgeon, there have been lasting trauma and scars’.
Miss Supranational Croatia 2017 Annie Sukunda, 34, is one of the few in the domestic public scene that openly talks about the aesthetic interventions she worked. After publishing an article about the victims of the aesthetic surgeon from Zagreb, who complained about the work of a doctor, she shared her experience in Story on Instagram, and now she has supported all women who have a legal battle with him.
– Continuing my story from a day, by chance I was reading the newspaper, I saw Dr. Matija Miletic still operated on and not only that women who, unfortunately, have passed even more horror than I am, are charged with defamation. This way, as his patient, I want to give them support and my voice and say that it is not a defamation but a pure truth. Namely, I never reported it to it, however, I also talked about it, however, it left me a lasting trauma and scars, which, barely somehow, later managed to remove partially. I hope that women will get a battle that, unfortunately, run with the doctor in question and that the competent institutions will respond and close the practice of the same – Annie said in Reels on the portal’s Instagram profile profile Estetic.rs.

We contacted a muscle that decided to speak publicly about her experience with the doctor.
– It was autumn/winter 2020. I remember because after that, in 2021 I went to Turkey. I worked with a lip lift and cat eye. I came to him for a recommendation, I went to trust, but I paid a full price. My inch scars and a half above my lip others. I had to repeat to remove the scars, I didn’t manage to do it on the temple. It was a horror, it was open, he didn’t want to talk – Annie told us, who was watching and adhered to all the instructions.
– I neither talked nor dishes, otherwise I heal very quickly. The procedure itself was horror. It was made up of ambulance, so all alive. No one does that. All in all, it was a very ugly experience. You watch it work alive, as it opens later, a scene that is engraved in memory, fear … Happiness, so it’s all over and it’s behind me, ”said the former Miss.
We talked to other patients who had similar experiences with the same doctor.
– I was looking for hyaluron because it was degradable after six months, and without my knowledge and without my consent, I was injected something that was not degradable, which I did not want and did not agree to, ”one victim told us. He told her that he had put her a « slightly denser filler » to her, but did not receive a certificate sticker and the manufacturer’s name or account.
Recall, the doctor tried to silence the women who, in the private Facebook group « victims of aesthetic interventions and doctors », but also in the public, spoke of their negative experiences not only with him, but to other aesthetic surgeons. The court rejected him final and concluded that women had the right to talk about their experiences and be critical of the doctor’s work.
– He told everyone that it was a denser filler, which would be broken down for two or three years. He did not give us a certificate sticker, said what he would inject to us or issued a bill to us. Only when we contacted him to complain about the procedure, would some say that it was a biopolimer – the patients say.
Some of them still have an unknown substance in the lips because they did not decide on the surgery of the filler extraction.
– She can’t manipulate the truth, she has to come to light. As long as you tell the truth, you have the right to talk about your experiences and no one can forbid it to you – the defendant Administrator of the group told us, which is also one of his victims.
We also talked to a woman in a more honorable age who just wanted to « fix the eyes ».
– I raised money and went to him. I said that I wanted to get rid of the eyes and the upper blepharoplasty (raising the eyelids – op.a.), and he asked why we would not make mini facelifting because the price is somewhere. I asked that the surgery to be in the morning, ordered me the last, only in the evening. He worked under local anesthesia, I yelled it hurt. The surgery lasted four hours. When I got home, I saw my head twice as big as possible, ”the victim said.
Even today it has visible scars on the face. It hides them so that he always has a loose hair over that part of the face, even in the summer when it is hot.
– That’s his ‘tiny embroidery’. It all made me very much. I have been aged five that night. This also leaves you a trace of psyche, confidence. Maybe someone younger would be easier to overcome, it’s really hard for me, ”she said.
Some patients have filed criminal charges against him with DORH, reported to the Croatian Medical Chamber, the State Inspectorate, the Tax Administration … They still wait for the institutions to do their job.
