Ministry of Defense will create a register of mental health professionals for military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is working to create a register of mental health professionals working with the military.

It will contain tested information on qualification, capabilities and services, report In Mow.

« The motivation to the service depends on the state of mental health of the military, as well as the willingness to perform the tasks for the intended purpose. In the conditions of war we have no right to delay the solution of the mental health of our defenders. It is about human life, dignity, recovery after loss and testing, » – emphasized the head of the Department of Psychological Support of the Ministry of Defense Oleg Mukan.

The register will allow the heads of psychological support bodies and the personnel of the Armed Forces to quickly find accredited organizations of the necessary specialization in their region.

The list will also facilitate the interaction between the Armed Forces and NGOs.

During the meeting with the Defense Ministry, the representatives of the NGO also suggested to scale work on:

• hot line of crisis counseling;

• online and inpatient psychological counseling of the military and their families;

• inpatient psychological rehabilitation;

• training of deputy commanders of the mouth with psychological methods;

• Training of helpers of psychologists mental stability in the conditions of military operations.
