Minimum CP strike services until Wednesday
The Arbitral Tribunal has defined minimal services for the CP strike from Sunday, and until Wednesday.
In a publication, the CP indicated on Friday that « minimum services were defined, for the period between 11 and 14 May. »
According to the decision of the Arbitral Tribunal, « the reason for this fixation to be done with the need to ensure minimal rail transport when there are no other alternatives or, there are they, they are overly onerous. »
In this sense, the court considered it “appropriate to fix minimal services related to the circulation of compositions in the amount of 25% of what would be its normal circulation, thus not accepting the proposal of the CP that proposed a 30% fixation”.
At question is “the fact that this company carries out an activity with enormous social relevance, and the announced strike should be limited to what is considered ‘impregitable social needs’, which are represented here by allowing some circulation of trains at a minimum level that does not undermine the safety of passengers, with the accumulation of people in the seasons and the overcrowding of the trains”.
