Demonstrations across the country overshadowed the event, as Americans participated in the rallies protesting the parade of Trump and the unprecedented use of the National Guard to prevent demonstrations against his immigration policy.

James told dailymail.com that Trump could degrade his prestige during the parade in response to the demonstrators’ accusations that he considers himself a king or dictator.

James argued that Trump’s typical uniform was an attempt to differentiate the military personnel at the parade.

As the parade continued, James noted that Trump’s « levels of excitement » have increased. « He was standing up to greet a frozen posture for long periods of time and has invented a new form of military greeting where he greets his right hand and performs a low fist in the air with his left, signing a very intense desire to honor and connect with the troops. »

Rubio was bored

The body’s language expert also noted that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio « was sitting with a shabby face and one hand hanging on the back of his chair ».

Rubio even left a deep sigh at some point, which may indicate that he was bored during the parade.
