The start -up partnership agreement with the United Kingdom is a historic event for us, and will provide an investment cycle of five billion pounds or about six billion euros in infrastructure, railway, transport, health, etc., Prime Minister Christian Mickoski said after a meeting with British Prime Minister Kir.

A Strategic Partnership Agreement with the United Kingdom, the Government with the Government, is a privilege, as we are talking about one of the largest poweres in the world and the government of a state that is one of the largest in Europe and it has no such agreements with many countries, we may be one of the few. In the days that follow all the details will be published in the Macedonian public – said Mickoski.

– Today I met with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Kir Starmer. At the meeting, we agreed on a strategic partnership agreement of Macedonia with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This is a strategic agreement that positions the state in the order of interest and action of one of the most influential political and economic forces in the world such as the United Kingdom. This agreement is a new chapter in relations between the two countries and is a key basis for later economic and political cooperation. The agreement itself has been negotiated for several months between teams from both countries, and includes members for close cooperation in several key areas – Mickoski wrote on Facebook after meeting Starmer.
The two prime ministers in the statements at a meeting in the European political community summit in Tirana assessed that the Strategic Partnership Agreement would mean even stronger cooperation, stronger relations and the opportunity to deepen relations.
The agreement, assessed as historic, will open new prospects for collaboration in key areas such as security, economics, investment, education, digital transformation and climate change. This is an agreement that positions Macedonia in the wider circle of interests of one of the world’s leading powers. It is a concrete and long -term commitment to strengthen bilateral ties with the United Kingdom.
By signing the agreement, Macedonia will gain access to British expertise, financial support for reform and opportunities for British investment in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure and innovation. In addition, the cooperation will also include enhanced political dialogue, as well as coordination within international institutions and global security challenges.
