Mickoski: Macedonia will be a country with the largest number of foreign investment per capita in the region
The National Bank will announce tomorrow the number of investments in 2024 with an exceptional, huge, historic realization from May and. We will be a country with the largest number of foreign investment per capita in the region, Prime Minister Christian Mickoski said this afternoon, answering a parliamentary question.
For this year, we have not less than 15 investments, but the number is increasing.
-You will witness the publication of the cornerstones and the launch of some of the direct foreign investment. But let's not underestimate the domestic investments that will also start, using the Hungarian loan – noted Mickoski.
Regarding the Turkish « Kazandzi Holding », the prime minister informs that this company is not only interested in entry into Macedonia when it comes to building cogeneration plants, but there are, as he said, several others.
-« Kazandzi Holding » is just one of the few companies that have expressed a desire to invest. These investments for which we are negotiating are based solely on market conditions: the electricity to be produced will be sold in the free market, the price of heat will be regulated by the decision of the Regulatory Commission and the resource is borne by the investor. There is no government to say who to build it, because he, which is the reason, who will make the power line,… and after that we differ from our predecessors – said Mickoski.
According to him, to feel the effect of the air from the capacities he plans to build « Kazandzi Holding », it will take time, three to five years.
