Mickoski: If there is an initiative to meet Siljanovska Davkova-Zeljazkov on the sidelines of the NATO Summit it should be accepted
Prime Minister Christian Mickoski informs that he will not attend the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova will leave. Regarding the announcements by the Bulgarian side that instead of their President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Rosen Zeljazkov will attend, he said today that if there is any initiative to meet between the Macedonian President and the Bulgarian Prime Minister and it should be accepted to show proactivity.
Mickoski noted that the initiative for the meeting on the sidelines of the summit had arrived from European Council President Antonio Costa and the Macedonian side immediately accepted it and added that according to initial announcements in The Hague, Bulgaria should have represented Radev.
– The President of the European Council sent a proposal, we immediately accepted, to sit down to the two presidents, fascinated by the EU, during an event, in which we are equal to both. At that meeting there was an idea to attend the Secretary General (of NATO) Rute, representatives of the US administration and to cross the arguments. Now we see one exhibition, perhaps such the way the Bulgarian political scene is functioning. The Prime Minister was present at the Washington Summit, where I was. It is logical to rotate the president and the prime minister, at least that is the practice, so this year there is President Siljanovska and it was logical for Bulgaria to send the president and he was announced at the last minute the Prime Minister was sent at the last minute – said Mickoski.
He added that he would ask for a meeting with the president and noted that if there is any initiative to meet the president-prime minister level, it should be accepted.
-If there is any initiative to meet the president-prime minister level it should be accepted no matter what I will not be there, it is my attitude and I am convinced that it will be the attitude of the president. We have to be proactive and show that it is not what we are talking about, to show that several hundred of our citizens, who say that Bulgarian is their native language, that this is not the problem, but there is a much bigger problem, it is a policy of decades, it is a strategy that has been written, it has been spoken, it has been spoken. Unfortunately there were such in the last government – the prime minister said.
Prime Minister Mickoski said in a statement to the media yesterday that the essence of the problem is « the attempt of an engineering, to create a new Macedonian nation, which is the result of a decision by the Comintern after ’45 of the last century and that that new Macedonian nation uses a new Macedonian language, which is becoming an official in the UN, as part of the Yugoslav He emphasized that anyone who does not see that this is the essence of the problem is, says either political Analfab or should not be involved in politics and added that former Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani knew this, accepting the French proposal.
Late last month, Mickoski noted that at the meeting in Skopje with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Calas, among other things, discussed the possible bilateral meeting with the Bulgarian side, about its format, which could attend and where it could be held.
The upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague, as he said then, is a good opportunity for the meeting, would be attended Mark Rutte, as well as US representatives.
