Mickoski: Expectations are positive after Mucunski’s meetings in Washington

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, after meetings of Foreign and Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski and officials, said in Washington that the impressions were extremely high, answering journalist questions, a possible free trade agreement, today at an event to mark the 80th anniversary of the State Statistical Office in Skopje. The Prime Minister emphasized that the meetings highlighted the strategic cooperation and the knowledge of cooperation between the two countries.

– The impressions are exceptional high. I can say that Timcho Mucunski is among the first seven European foreign ministers from Europe who were bilaterally received by Secretary of State Marko Rubio in the State Department in the United States. The meeting lasted about 45 minutes, which once again highlighted strategic cooperation and the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries. The current extremely sincere cooperation with the administration of President Trump and the expectations for the future- the prime minister said.

Regarding expectations, the Prime Minister said his expectations are positive as a result of the meetings.

– Around those expectations, I wouldn’t want to talk a lot now I want to happen, and only then to comment, but what are my expectations. My expectations are also positive as a result of meeting with Mr. Greer, but also my phone conversations I had with Secretary of State for Economy, Mr. Howard Latvno, so I expect to be among the first countries in the world to get that type of agreement with the United States – said Mickoski.

Foreign Minister and Foreign Trade Minister Timcho Mucunski announced on his Facebook profile that during a visit to Washington, he had another important meeting with Jamison Greer, a trade official in the administration of US President Donald Trump, and earlier May 29, as reported by the US Department.
