Mickoski announces free application for pricing in markets
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has announced the preparation of software and a special free application that will be able to immediately compare the prices in the markets. As he said today, answering parliamentary questions, after the introduction of the measure traders to publicly publish product prices, some of them of the government and « spit in the face » were shown. One of the chains of markets has published more than 17,000 items on a 100 -page list, which said Mickoski, « vulgarized » the measure.
According to the prime minister, the minimum consumer basket is decreasing. He expects such a trend to continue or at least stabilize, no rampage or deviant behavior, and if there is again, an appropriate measure will be brought. SMI will monitor the situation.
-Unfortunately, the country seems like a product landfill. Some of the markets and traders seem to have a lost feeling where they manage and have margins out of normal, and there are rarely indications of a cartel association of certain legal entities that dictate prices and margins. We are analyzing, showing good will, we want to do something for the citizens and that we have taken two measures – limiting margins and announcing prices. From what I saw, I was shocked, but we are to blame as a government. We will make software and legislative changes to have to use the software. We also want to make an application for smartphones for citizens to locate markets and compare prices. It will take time, but we will do everything, so let’s say if they will spit on us in the face. There is a chain that has published over 17,000 articles and hooked the list of 100 pages. This vulgarizes the measure, but if they want to, we will play. Some individuals think they are above this and spit on us. Public publication prices is my priority, we will make software and a free article comparison – said Mickoski.
