Mickoski: Aliu and Hoxha are part of an important process of refreshing, promoting and setting new standards
In the Parliament today, as part of the 54th session, the government proposal Azir Aliu will be Minister of Health. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said in his explanation of the Aziri proposal that he believed his energy and knowledge would bring a new dimension to health management.
-Doctor Aliu is a doctor of information science. A professor, a man who has been involved in managing systems, data and digital solutions for years. At a time when some countries with one click are diagnosed, we are still running. It’s time to change. And that is why we believe that his energy and knowledge will bring a new dimension to the management of the health system. Will it be easy? No. Won’t be. But is it possible? Yes. Because we have already shown that it can. Less than a year has passed, and the difference is already. We started screening programs, reduced the waiting lists, introduced new drugs on the positive list, and we are working on legislative changes that will bring systemic order. At the same time, infrastructure projects, construction and renewal of health institutions, as well as digitization that will prevent abuses are being developed. Each patient will allow each patient to have records, service and access to the system. In this process Dr. Aliu will have strong support from me as the Prime Minister, but also strong personal responsibility. Expectations are high, and our time is not an ally- the prime minister said.
Mickoski emphasized that in these almost a year step by step they restore the lost feeling that the state is here for the citizens and not the opposite. He pointed out that they build a system that does not make people small in front of the institutions, but institutions that serve every citizen equally.
-We are here today to continue that process and to strengthen it. I am in front of you as a proponent of two personnel solutions that are adopted on two departments – health and agriculture. This is not just a matter of personal choice. This is part of the larger image, the reform direction in which the government is moving and our aspiration to set the system on new healthy foundations. I start with health. No sector reflects the situation in a society as health. It is a mirror of the state in organization, in availability, in humanity. For many years we have seen that that mirror shoot because of irresponsibility, corruption, partisanship and carelessness. We have seen decaying clinics, non -working appliances, medicines that are gone, people who have been waiting for months for diagnosis or therapy. We watched doctors leaving. Nurses that are underestimated. Patients who lose both patience and health. We didn’t promise to change that overnight, but we promised to start thoroughly and root- he said.
On the agenda, the proposal for the appointment of Albrim Hoxha for Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy is also on the agenda. Prime Minister Mickoski said in the explanation of the proposal for Hoxha that he is a young but serious man who knows what the terrain looks like. He believes he will give strong energy and added that the minister will be strong and will contribute to agriculture to finally get a systemic framework and vision of the future.
-Earth is not just an economic branch. It’s a way of life. These are families, villages, future. These are our fields, our food, our security and unfortunately, and in this area it has been neglected for years. Farmers were left alone, without vision, without support, with thousands of problems and no systemic solutions. Debts that this government pays starting from 2021, 2022, 2023- he said.
The prime minister emphasized that these two nominations are not isolated decisions, but as he pointed out, they are part of an important refreshing process, to promote, to set new standards.
-From the first day, the government I lead has a clear purpose: to produce results. No declarations. No excuses. But results. In the first 100 days we provided stability. We are now seeing the growth of the economy, increased tax collection without raising rates, new investments and growth of industrial production. We are introducing order in the chaos we inherited and create conditions for citizens to believe again – not in the party, but in the functioning state. Of course, this is not the end. This is just a new chapter. Because we know – the citizens were betrayed for too long. They waited too long. They listened too long for promises that were never fulfilled. That is why our obligation is greater. We will continue at an even more serious pace. We will continue to deliver measurable results. So I urge you all – to support these suggestions. Today you are voting to continue a process of real rebuilding, not turning back – said Mickoski.
