MH370 Flight: Was the exact position of the missing aircraft revealed?
Eleven years after the mysterious disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines aircraft, hopes for answers remain alive, as the researchers appear to have identified the « exact location » of the MH370 flight.
The Boeing 777 disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The new high -resolution sonar data has identified an area of the southern Indian Ocean that « is incompatible with the natural characteristics of the seabed, » said Dr. Vincent Lain, a former researcher at the University of Tasmania.
As he argued, this abnormality is the last point where the MH370 flight was lost.
This discovery is associated with what Dr. Lain named Penang Longitude Deep Hole, a almost 6km deep hole at the eastern end of the Broken Ridge. It is a rough and dangerous area in the Indian Ocean.
The researcher believes that the disappearance of the flight was designed so that the aircraft would fall into the hole.
He called for a « urgent action » to review the new data, which he described as « the most powerful immediate physical proof to date » for the « exact location » of MH370.
Theories to disappear the MH370 flight
Various theories have occasionally appeared to explain the disappearance of the aircraft. One of them states that the pilot of the aircraft, the 53 -year -old then Zahari Ahmad Sach, threw it deliberately into the ocean. Another conspiracy theory wants the aircraft to be shot down by a foreign army.
A report published by Malaysia in 2018 focused on the omissions of the control tower and revealed that the aircraft's course had changed manually, but did not reach a definitive conclusion.
Over 30 pieces of the aircraft have been concentrated along the coast of Africa and in the Indian Ocean islands over the years.
Last month, a British company started the last, probably, research mission for MH370. Ocean Infinity Armada 7806 Armada 7806 has arrived in a new research zone in the Indian Ocean, off Perth, Australia, at the end of February to investigate.
