Mexhiti: Transformation of the Vlan Coalition in Party starts next week
A new political entity on the Macedonian political scene will emerge from the « VLL » coalition. Next week, procedures for creating that new political party begin, announced the first Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Democratic Movement, Izet Mexhiti.
Deputy Prime Minister Medziti, in an interview in the « Preparation » of Telegraph Macedonia in Albanian, informed that the new party will have a joint headquarters, information center, joint candidates, joint programs and lists of joint advisors in the upcoming local elections.
He adds that the names of the mayoral candidates in the upcoming elections have not yet been defined. Mexhiti noted that they have not yet defined who will be the party’s president, and that this is not a problem, because, as he said, the main goal is to unite and better organization ahead of the local elections.
-I can say that I read voters seeking a merger of worth one entity… I have neither claimed nor claim that I am a leader of worth. I am interested in the concept. It doesn’t matter who will be president – Medziti said, stressing that the success of the project is more important than individual positions.
The Central Presidency of the Alliance of Albanians of Arben Taravari on April 15 in Tetovo decided in the upcoming local elections to offer its own lists of candidates for councilors. According to Taravari after the Senica, this decision will not contribute to change, ie that they remain as a party within the coalition « VLL » and within the government.
On April 16, the president of the Democratic Movement and Government Deputy Prime Minister Izet Mexhiti after a meeting of leaders and senior officials of the coalition noted that « VLLL » believes that the decision to perform with separate councilors for Alliance councilors for Albanians led by Taravari was made in the interest of the DUI.
« Vln » did not exclude it from the Taravari coalition, but he, according to Medziti, was self -excreted. He estimated that Taravari’s procedure also means a problem in the government, but for the time being, he said, there is no answer whether they will seek his dismissal from the ministerial office in health.
