Mexhiti: Shar Mountain and Pelister get new info centers
Construction of new facilities – info centers for the needs of National Parks Shar Mountain and Pelister were part of the topics discussed today by the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti with NP Shar Mountain directors, Emir Husseini and NP Pelister.
According to the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, these info cents are expected to meet all environmental standards and serve to promote these national parks, as well as to educate stakeholders.
Medziti informed at the meeting that in order to implement this project Shar Mountain and Pelister should propose locations, the necessary documents, as well as a construction permit to make the procedure for tender procurement and construction supervision.
According to the MoEPP, in accordance with the annual Nature Program for 2025, as well as the Public Procurement Plan for 2025, the procurement of the info centers – the Brovenners in Shar Mountain and Pelister reaches 7,023,305 denars.
To support the National Parks MoEPP through the investment program will support the activities of all four national parks in the amount of 20,000,000 denars, including a grant of 6,000,000 denars in the amount of MKD 6,000,000, grant for Mavrovo HI NP, and 4,000,000 denars for 4,000,000 denars.
The Ministry of the Environment informs that all grant projects are aimed at improving the green infrastructure in parks to generate additional funds for national parks, as well as campaign and biodiversity protection.
