Metron Analysis: ND's common influence has been reduced by 15 points – new balances and influence of Tempi
A new study by Metro Analysis was presented at the Conference of the Idea Circle, in collaboration with the Delphi Economic Forum.
Stratos Fanaras and Yiannis Balambanidis made the presentation of the investigation, while the discussion was co -ordinated by Sia Kosionis.
The survey was carried out from February 26 to March 5 to 1,506 people.
The importance of the dates was highlighted by Metron Analysis executives as the research catches on February 28.
On that day, the magnificent rallies for Tempi in Greece and other cities around the world took place, and the incident at the Oval Office with US President Donald Trump and his vice president Jay Di Vance happened to downplay on camera.
Characteristic is the card presented by Metron Analysis entitled: « February 28, 2025 and the storm of developments ».
The survey was divided into four sections:
- Expectations, concerns and juncture
- Democracy and political culture
- State and governance
- Europe and the West in a historic turning
Module 1: Expectations, concerns and juncture
Pessimism/sadness and anger are the feelings that dominate this time. It is interesting, however, that the feeling of pessimism declined after the huge demonstrations for Tempi on 28/2, as pointed out by Metron Analysis analysts.
In relation to the issues that concern citizens today, the economy/accuracy (63%) comes first in the first place, followed by the issue of justice and the rule of law, which has climbed to second, with a gradual rise in the last 2-3 months, as noted.
For the conclusion of EPODAAM, Metron Analysis analysts stressed that the majority of citizens believe that they do not justify either (59%). However, there is a difference from where one places himself politically. The more center -left we look, the more respondents say that the opposition is justified, which holds 28% in total.
Interesting are the answers about the reasons that led the world to the rallies. « The need to give righteousness » with 76%, the support of the families of the victims with 52% and the protest against the government at 33% are the first three reasons (citizens could provide two answers).
10% responds that one of the reasons was the opposition's attempt to push the government, but this falls to 4% when the answer is given by someone who participated in the rallies.
Section 2. Democracy and political culture
The satisfaction of how democratically the country is ruled is moving « under the base » (average price 4.1 on a scale of 1-10) and is associated with a quasi-anti-systemic predisposition, which limits the common influence of « systemic » political forces (ND, PASOK).
The poll records a retreat of the classic distinction of parties in « Left, Central and Right », something that Metron Analysis analysts said it was observed in times of crisis.
Regarding anti -systemism, Metron Analysis analysts emphasized that there is a need for attention when this term is used so as not to characterize everything with it.
« It is an expression of protest against the establishment » is what best describes those who consider themselves « reversal », according to the research.
Between December 2024 and March 2025, the Potentiality of the ND has been reduced by 15 points (from 44 to 29) and is now recorded in third place, while PASOK recorded in the first place has been reduced by 7 points (from 47 to 44).
In the second place is the Freedom Cruise, with Metron Analysis analysts estimating that navigation of freedom can be a « pole », as they typically said, but this has not yet been crystallized.
Section 3. State and Governance
In relation to co -operation governments, Metron Analysis analysts have noted that the possibility of a co -operation government is « re -becoming a juicy question », especially as we look at the center -left.
As Metron Analysis notes: « 2 out of 3 disagree with the view that beyond the current prime minister, the country does not have political staff capable of this role while dominating negative evaluations for the state. »
But there is also a request for change: The majority prefers cooperative governments (57%) and considers it necessary to simplify justice procedures (83%) or to strengthen industry instead of « monoculture » of a service economy (71%).
Section 4. Europe and the West at a historic turning point
As for the international environment, Trump Policy is already affecting citizens' perceptions. It is considered a threat to Greece (with 31%, after Turkey's « traditional » threat with 52%) and is expected to negatively affect US relations with Europe and the West with the rest of the world.
Thus, a clear preference for greater EU strategic autonomy over the US (63% versus 34%) is highlighted.
Metron Analysis analysts pointed out that younger people consider Turkey less threat, while citizens in Greece are not afraid of Russia and China.

The Metron Analysis concludes that: « It seems, then, that February 28th is not a breakthrough but a condensation of processes that have been incubating for a long time and now invading the political scene. In Greece, the crisis of political confidence is deepened, the Euro-Atlantic bond breaks down and destabilized the West, which is considered to have been in the course of decline (for 59%). A more authoritarian, more enclosed, more cynical world seems to be shaped. A world that does not fit into the specifications of post -war regularity that were primarily imposed by the US. But it is the world with whom we are forced to confront. «
