Mertz: Israel is doing dirty work for us

Only the decline of the conflict in the Middle East was not targeted by the statements by the German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz.

In an interview with ZDF, and the margin of the G7 Synod, he said that « Israel is doing the dirty work for all of us ».

Mertz argued that « Germany is influenced by the regime of the Iranian mules, which has been killed and destroyed by the world » and continued by saying « I can only say that I have the greatest respect for the Israeli army and the Israeli government. »

« Otherwise, we may have seen the terror of this regime for months and years, possibly with a nuclear weapon in hand, » Mertz added.

« If Tehran were willing to return to the negotiating table, then there would be no need for further military operations from Israel. »

But then he clarified: « If it does not, then the complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear program may be on the agenda. »

Indeed, he clarified that the Israeli army obviously cannot do it on its own because it does not have the necessary weapons « which the Americans still have », as ZDF reported.
