MEPSO and ESM together work on the development of the transmission network and the integration of renewable energy sources

The leaderships of AD MEPSO and AD ESM at today's Coordination Meeting have harmonized the strategies for the development of electrical infrastructure and opportunities for the integration of new capacities for the production of electricity from renewable sources.

In order to strengthen the transmission network and ensure greater stability and confidentiality, AD MEPSO presented projects that put a particular focus on adaptation and expansion of the transmission infrastructure capacity for new energy sources and construction of energy storage facilities, and AD ESM presented expansion plans.

« At the meeting, information was exchanged on the efforts made to build new portable lines, new transformer stations and the application of advanced technologies that would improve the efficiency and stability of the overall power system, » AD MEPSO informed this afternoon.

The two companies have agreed to continue their cooperation and dynamize activities to implement the planned projects with the sole purpose of responding to future energy challenges and to ensure sustainable and reliable development of the country's energy sector.
