Men hang from moving cars on Antwerp Ring: « irresponsible » (Beringen)
Dangerous scenes took place on the Antwerp Ring on Saturday. « It was raining hard, it was busy and four cars drove throughout the lanes, while men hung out, » says a Limburg couple, that everything saw happen.
Annelies Buekers was struck with stunning. « I had never seen this. No idea what those men were inspired. They stood straight in the cars. They went crazy and waved flags and those cars drove between the busy traffic. »
Annelies, who was at the passenger seat, has taken her cell phone to film it. « You can’t believe this. I didn’t really know if I should call the police. The cars took the Borgerhout exit and we drove to the sea. This was particularly dangerous. Irresponsible. »
Wedding
Possibly it was a Turkish wedding. The tradition wants the bridal procession to follow the car with bride and groom to the party location. To express the joy, the cars often honk and they are usually equipped with flags and other decorations. The enthusiastic bridal procession can sometimes lead to dangerous situations because not all traffic rules are respected.
