Memento on Velika Rahel Ferrari: a unique publication dedicated to legendary actress and culture of memories – culture

The historical review of her exciting life, as the publication « Rachela » called the author Radovan Sremac, a prominent archaeologist and chronicler, was presented on Saturday, May 31, in the Jewish Cultural Center in Belgrade.

The presence of a number of actresses who magnificently marked the local and theatrical art, and her granddaughter and daughter-in-law, as well as the inspired memories of her colleagues, Branko Petrić and Svetlana Cece Bojković, organized this promotion in the cultural event.

According to the author, his work on this book is a contribution to the Rahel Froynd Rahel and her family, as to date in the media, starting in the names, the place of birth, childhood, to the fight to survive the Holocaust.

« That’s why I tried to assemble the proven data from trusted sources and senior thanks to Branko Stojkovic, Snahi Rachele Ferrari, which gave me a complete family archive with great love, and the memory of the crash.

As Sremac pointed out, the book « Rachel » consists of her private life and career, as well as the prizes, which she has decided only for those from Personal Rachel’s ownership, which she carefully fell in her monumental album, modestly titled « Rachel Ferari ».

– This exceptional material has so far not published, and is a valuable source for the study of life and artistic work of one of our most famous actresses. However, since her art and career are almost completely familiar, in this book, the emphasis was put on Rachel’s private life, the history of her family, her destiny and destiny of her neighbors during the Holocaust.

But her courage, that amazing struggle to survive and hopes to succeed, they won fear. I think Rachel, like a magnificent fighter, and today it can be an example of young girls, how to go through life – Radovan Srimac.

Rachel Ferrari retired as a regular member of the Yugoslav drama in 1973. She was deceased nearly until the last breath – the cult film « Tango Argentino » was filmed in 1992, and « Tell me why » and « better than the escape » in 1993. years.
