Melania Trump: sophisticated look (made in the USA) to celebrate the military parade
The First Lady has chosen a double -breasted blazer with ivory lines and navy blue with silver buttons and a long coordinated skirt of Adam Lippes. Behind his style there is Herve Pierre
American President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania kicked off the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the American Army with a great military parade on Saturday evening 14 June. The highly anticipated event began in advance due to rain predictions, and reached the end of a day of celebrations in Beltway. The fashion spotlights have been focused on Melania’s look, decidedly different (since the election campaign) compared to her husband’s first mandate to the White House during which she has always sported look of international brands.
For the occasion, Melania has chosen a suit (mostly packaged in New York), double -breasted blazer with ivory striped and navy blue with silver buttons and a long coordinated skirt of Adam Lippes. A choice not surprisingly: the designer was born in Buffalo but realizes his garments in New York. The First Lady, 55, completed the look with Décolleté in Denim designed Christian Louboutin.
Melania’s suit was made to her directly from the Adam Lippes showroom in New York City. The cost? Lippes’ striped jacket is sold at $ 2,490 on the Farfetch website.
While Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush were known to work directly with the designers (personally or through collaborators to choose specific clothes for key apparitions), Melania has its own personal stylist, Herve Pierre. A choice born during the first administration of Trump after some American designers had declared that they did not want to dress the First Lady, if they had been contacted.
Lippes is known for being a more reserved designer than others, which are very active on social media and in the social scene of New York. After developing a brand linked to Quiet Luxury and open shops in New York, Palm Beach and Houston, the designer met Herve Pierre for the first time in the mid -90s, when both worked at Oscar de la Renta, who always dressed both the democratic first lady and republican during their stay in the White House.
