According to a person who is familiar with this business, pillows packed in parcels with cosmetics and sex toys contained hidden homemade ignition devices made of chemical cocktail, including highly reactive magnesium.
The interlocutor noted that the chemicals were set on fire in advance of detonators adapted to cheap Chinese electronic gadgets used to track things such as lost keys, and the effect was exacerbated by tubes with cosmetics, which looked like cosmetics, but in fact contained gel.
« Proceedings in this case concerns criminal activity inspired by the Russian GRU (the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Russia – Ed.), » – said the interlocutor.
According to the interlocutor, the Polish prosecution is based on at least five suspected members of a probable sabotage group, as well as in the classified conclusions of the security services.
The interlocutor told the agency that one of them is Ukrainian Vladislav Derkavets. In August 2024, he was arrested on suspicion of committing terrorist acts commissioned by Russian intelligence. He rejects the accusations himself.
Another suspect is the 44-year-old Russian Alexander Bezrukavi, whose task was to prepare for the attack on freight planes that operate flights to North America.
To do this, he had to arrange the parcel with sneakers and clothing from Warsaw to Washington and Ottawa. He also denies his charges.
