Mechanical Damage to Seajets’ SuperStar for Sporades – suffering for hundreds of travelers
Mechanical damage He presented Seajets’ passenger ship « Superstar » after departing from the port of Volos today on Good Friday, during his first route to the Northern Sporades.
The ship, which had Skiathos as the first stop and departed at 07:40, returned to the port, causing hassle to hundreds of passengers traveling for Easter holidays.
According to ERT, the announcement of damage during the trip caused disruption as passengers were informed that the next route would take place tomorrow, Good Saturday.
Through the loudspeakers, an alternative directive was given: those who have a vehicle to travel to Mantoudi, Evia, to board there on a ship to Sporades – a directive that triggered strong reactions and protests.

At the same time, the port of Volos departed a trailer to assist the « Superstar », while the company proposed an alternative transfer to a speedboat at 14:00, but without prediction for vehicles or a car rental compensation to the destination.
Volunteer passengers are expected to return to their homes to leave their vehicles and then travel with the speedboat, while travelers from other parts of the country will move to Mantoudi in an effort to reach the islands in time.
