– For some, the disease is cured, for some not. Some remain residual phenomena for life, causing disability. There is a part that recovers without residual phenomena, but it is a serious illness. Deaths are possible because it is inflammation of the brain. There are no antiviral drugs yet, clinical trials are being performed, and some medications are being tried. Is treated with symptomatic, pathogeneous.

– How long does it take for treatment and how much people do you spend in the hospital, rehabilitation?

– depends on the form of the disease and the course of the disease. In the most severe case, treatment may last several months, as respiratory paralysis is impaired due to respiratory muscle paralysis – artificial pulmonary ventilation is required for a very long time. There are no such cases, but they are difficult. We had cases where it took up to half a year – artificial ventilation was used. Here are the most difficult cases. On average, up to 10 days, but then about 90 percent. Patients need rehabilitation, which takes an average month of time.

– The disease is dangerous and treatment is complex.

– Of course, all the more that we treat symptomatically pathogenesis, the clinical manifestation is very diverse – the brain is vulnerable. The fact that the treatment is complex enough and the way I mentioned depends on the form of the disease.
