The Narva police worked on May 9 in an intensified composition to ensure public order and suppress offenses. Particular attention was paid to forbidden symbolism associated with the justification of war crimes.

Most offenses are associated with alcohol use in public places. However, serious incidents or conflicts caused by a demonstration of symbols did not occur. Pyalsing noted that the number of violations is reduced annually. However, most cases were conscious manifestations of political views.
