May 1st in Sofia: BSP Manifestation and Trade Union Rock Concert
The first day of May is traditionally associated with processions and manifestations throughout the country on the occasion of Labor Day. These will be held by the two largest national trade unions – CITUB and Podkrepa. The traditional procession will also have the BSP.
The manifestation of the left
The traditional BSP manifestation in Sofia will be on the summer stage in the Boris Garden entitled « For Social Justice in Solidarity Bulgaria! ». The party states that it will focus on the problems of integration of people with disabilities into the labor market. For this purpose, organizations and representatives of people with various disabilities are invited to share the difficulties they face so that solutions can be sought together. There will also be an emphasis on the early career orientation of adolescents.

Union celebration
The Labor Confederation « Podkrepa » organizes its traditional festive procession from 11.00 from Sveta Nedelya Square to the Earth and People Museum, where a concert « Rock for Labor » will start at 12.30, in which Bulgarian rock bands and performers will take part.
This year, the title is « Do not touch the regulation of everyday life ». Trade unions are against liberalization of the electricity market for household consumers, which is likely to be delayed by between 2 and 5 years. Two ministers were made for this, and the project for its postponement was already driven in parliament with its adoption at first reading as a committee. The arguments of the unions are that there is no clear mechanism for the protection of socially vulnerable households and those who have fallen into an energy poverty.
Governors delay the liberalization of the current for everyday
CITUB will celebrate International Labor Day 1 May with initiatives in Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Dobrich, Lovech, Vidin, where free consultations on labor and insurance issues will be held. A first -time procession with a concert is also organized in Ruse. In Kyustendil and Shumen, sports games will also be held in honor of the holiday, scheduled for May 10 and 11 in Kyustendil and May 26 in Shumen.
