When leaving work they whistle on whistles and trumpets on cars. They want to intensify the pressure to lead for the fight for extraordinary compensation. On Tuesday after the morning shift at 2 pm, they prepare a protest gathering right in front of the factory.
Support also comes from behind the border
« Colleagues and colleagues, we have succeeded in what before us so far. You are an example for Slovak workers, » says Pavol Hustava, a Pavol Hustava, a social network, according to which they are supported by trade unionists from some Slovak companies and sister plants in Denmark or Denmark. They want a European approach
« What the management after more than a month from the media statements represents to employees pompously as financial certainty at the start is nothing extra compared to what the collective agreement concluded in 2023 and supplemented by an amendment from 2024, » says Pavol Hustava.
According to him, this collective agreement was agreed at a time when the management assured trade unions and employees that production remained in Martin.
The trade unions say that the situation is now completely different and are also demanding three thousand extra compensation for everyone. Pavol Hustava also argues that employees in Portugal, where the average hourly wage is comparable to our, the Danish concern incomparably more generous.
He paid much more in mass redundancies. It recalls that the factory factory was profitable. « We also deserve a European approach, » says Hustava.

Help from Denmark will not come
« Financial and non -financial assistance to its employees offers our Ecco Slovakia. It is appropriate to the economic possibilities of the company without endangering the economic stability of its remaining employees, » writes ECCO Slovakia in its opinion.
The statements come to employees gradually, a large part of them will leave production in the summer. The last employees will end up at the end of the year. Ecco Slovakia has also committed to ensure that it will provide retraining, financial advice or support for work as part of non -financial assistance for people as agreed with the trade unions.
However, trade unionists believe that the parent company ECCO in Denmark and its owners should contribute to this compensation. « Slovak employees have significantly contributed to the prosperity of the entire concern and its owners. And I am not talking about the advantageous conditions that the Ecco Group provided by the state and the city, » Hustava said.
