The noise of telephone conversations and snacks spoiled the experience, complained the director’s veteran in a conversation with critic Peter Travers

Director Martin Scorsese has said he no longer sees films in cinemas because he is too disgusted by the behavior of cinema visitors.
Speaking to American film critic Peter Travers about his blog, Scorsese reportedly explained that they were too disturbed by the conversations and sounds of audience mobile phones. It is a big problem to concentrate on the film.

Travers wrote: « I asked the maestro why he no longer watches movies in cinemas, and he is angry, criticizing the audience, who chases on the phone during the film, leaves to order snacks and bottles of carbonated drinks and maintains a sufficiently loud noise level to stifle the acts. »

Travers then responded to 82-year-old Scorsese that he probably behaved in a similar way when he was younger. « Okay, Martin, » I said, « we couldn’t keep our mouths closed when we were children. »

Travers added: « Scorsese’s eyes literally darkened.

Bonton in cinema is thought to be in recent years, with the emergence of streaming and the inheritance of the Kovid-19 pandemic, which means that the audience is now less inclined to pay full attention to the screen.

Fights and noise in cinemas are becoming increasingly common, while throwing food and constant conversations are normalized. Some movies are trying to accept the general atmosphere of chaos. For example, Maincraft signals a sign for children to rebel.

Meanwhile, famous stars, including Tom Cruise, vigorously cheer the audience to visit cinemas and ensure that the films are seen on the big screen at weekends.

Scorsese has more production projects, including Hawaii’s criminal drama with Dwayne Johnson in the lead role and documentary about the late Pope Francis, who is believed to have had the last interview.
