March for Racin on Mount Lopushnik

The traditional march for Racin on Mount Lopushnik is also being held this year from the village of Izvor Kichevo, to Mount Lopushnik and the locality of Jama, where 82 years ago the creator of « White Dawn », Kosta Solev Racin, died. This year’s march was attended by more than 80 climbers and admirers of Racin’s life and work from several cities of the country and most of them were from the hometown of the poet Veles and the city of Kicevo where the Lopushnik Mountain is located.

-The this weekend is realized the traditional march for Racin on Mount Lopushnik, organized in honor of the great poet and revolutionary Kosta Solev Racin. Mountaineering companies PSD « Bistra » and Ped « Endorphins » from Kicevo, the Green Power environmental group from Veles, took part in the march, and a number of individuals admirers of the work of the great poet. We started the march from the village of Izvor at 7.15am and at the top of Lopushnik we arrived around 11.30am. During this stay on the Lopushnik Mountain we laid bouquets of fresh flowers in front of the Racin monument at the top, and candles were flammable and bouquets of fresh flowers we laid on the memorial where on June 13, 1943, Kosta Racin was killed.
