Marc Marquez winner of Aragon sprint
Rainbow Marc Marquez (Ducati) wins the sprinter race of the World Motorcycle Championships in the Home Alcañiz. At the eighth station of the season, he beat the younger brother at the MotoGP Class for the GP of Aragon Alexa Marquez (Ducati Gresini). The success of the home racers was complemented by the teammaster of the younger Marquez Fermin Aldeguer.
Marqueza has received most of both sprint and classic races this season. Also, the trial in Aragon did not bring about changes in power ratios at the top. Marc and Alex Marquez laid the foundations in the morning qualifying, which he won over the younger one, followed by the third Italian Franco Morbidelli (Ducati-VR46).
On the sprint, Marc Marquez had some problems immediately after the start, as he started a little worse and even found himself in fourth place, but then quickly made his way into the lead. Later, Alex also had no problems defending another place. The most interesting thing was in the fight for the last place among the first three, where he was initially Morbidelli, but was overtaken by Aldeguer three rounds before the end.
Fifth was another Spaniard Pedro Acosta (KTM) and the sixth is Italian Fabio di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46).
Only 12. He was Ducati’s second factory racer, Italian Francesco Bagnaia. Only the place before him the Frenchman Fabio qaurtararo (Yamaha), who announced the rise of the Japanese team in a few recent races. In the previous three races, he earned a « pole pession », this time it was only the ninth in qualifying.
“The start really wasn’t the best, but then everything went as I wanted and as planned. It was nice to perform here, thank you very much, « Marc Marquez told the organizers after the victory. After this year’s win, he has 208 points, 27 more than his brother Alex. The third is Bagnaia, which is already 84 points behind.
