What he did not know, however, was that she had discovered shortly before that she was pregnant – and she used her art to reveal the news to her boyfriend. Agost has spoken to the US media Newsweek about the Tiktok video documenting the touching moment.

In the video, the couple sits facing each other and painting portraits while keeping their canvas hidden from each other. As the big moment comes, Agost's husband is shocked – not only about what his own painting ended up looking, but also over the surprising message in her artwork: She is pregnant.

« I had already bought some painting items for us so we could paint each other on his birthday. When I found out I was pregnant, I thought it would be the perfect way to reveal it to him, » Agost told Newsweek.

His reaction was exactly as she had hoped. And fortunately, he was really happy with the news that he was going to be a father.

« My husband was completely shocked when I told him. He has wanted to have a child for a few years now, but I was the one who wasn't quite ready, » she said.

« He has always been so excited to become a father, so when I told him the news, his jaw was on the floor and he had tears in his eyes. »

While the reveal of pregnancy was a touching moment, her husband's attempt to paint her also added a little fun to the story. His image of her was not exactly a realistic portrait.

« I laughed at his painting for several days, » Agost admitted.

« It's especially fun because he actually tried to make his painting look good and was very disappointed with the result. I tried to make him feel better with it, but it's really hilarious. »

A large number of Tiktok users stated that they simply couldn't get enough of the touching reveal.

« You should frame it and hang it up in the children's room, » there was even a user who suggested in the comments track.

« Imagine someday that one day he is telling your child, 'I painted this portrait of mother the day we found out we should have you,' » wrote another.

Now the couple is looking forward to welcoming their first child, which they both are very excited about.

« We are so incredibly excited to welcome our little boy to the world, » Agost said.

« I can't wait to see my husband become a father, because he is the best partner and I know he will be the best dad. We are both young of the mind and have fun together every single day and I know that expanding our family together will be the greatest adventure. »
