Man constituted defendant for stealing bank card and spending 18 thousand euros

A 34-year-old man was constituted argued for stealing a bank card to another 87-year-old man in Arcos de Valdevez, having spent 18,000 euros.

In a note this Friday released, the Viana do Castelo GNR territorial command states that it explains that during the police operation triggered by Arcos de Valdevez’s Criminal Investigation Center (NIC), it was possible to “recover the bank card and several ilically acquired goods and the amount of approximately 13 thousand euros”.

The GNR states that the investigation resulted from « a complaint for theft, using physical strength, during which the victim was subtracted, an 87 -year -old man, his personal wallet, containing cash, checks, documents and a bank card. »

The suspect « proceeded to misuse the card, making several acquisitions of goods, service payments and bank transfers, causing damage to the victim in the amount of about 18 thousand euros. »

In addition, the defendant is « equally suspected of the practice of other illicit, namely theft and fuel supplies, followed by escape. »

The facts were communicated to the Arcs Judicial Court of Valdevez, in the district of Viana do Castelo.
