Man (52) is seriously injured during incident at Cristalfeesten (Alken)

A 52-year-old man from Alken was seriously injured during an incident on Saturday evening during the Cristalfeesten in Alken. When he went to the toilet, it came to a conflict with other partygoers. The Alkenaar got a blow on the head and fell unhappy.
The man was taken to the hospital in a worrying condition. « He has been leaned with his head. This caused internal bleeding in his head, » says an acquaintance of the victim. The man was closely monitored all night at the intensive care service. « I just received a message that he is again conscious and that his condition is stable. He doesn’t remember anything anymore. »

According to witnesses, the 52-year-old man would have gone to the toilet around 11 p.m. What happened there is not yet clear. It has certainly come to a discussion or conflict in which the Alkenaar was hit on the head, lost his balance and fell to the ground.

« We can confirm that a person was seriously injured in an incident at the Cristalfeesten, » says press magistrate Laura Vanhoudt of the Limburg Public Prosecutor’s Office. « Police LRH and the public prosecutor are open to an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. »
