Mamic: ‘Well, I should get a Nobel Prize, not to install this procedure’

A fugitive from the Croatian judiciary Zdravko Mamic He made a guest appearance RTL today. After USKOK launched an investigation against former Assistant Minister of Finance Branka Segon and the former deputy director of the Tax Administration Tihomir King due to suspicion of trading influence. Uskok suspects them that they offered Mamic 500,000 euros in exchange for a favorable judicial epilogue at the time when Slavko Linic was a finance minister. Mamic himself launched the whole story when he had a hard time surrounding the mentioned duo at one of his media conferences.

Mamic said he was ‘pleasantly surprised by the USKOK procedure’ because they launched that investigation. He claims that Segon and the king came to Ljubuski, offering him a favorable outcome of criminal proceedings in exchange for 500,000 euros. He added that they were referring to the consent of the then senior officials, including Slavko Linic and Mladen Bajic, and that they claimed that the proceedings against him were furnished.

– They asked me to give them 500,000 euros, which I said I had no problem with that, that I would give them that. But they demanded that I hand it over to them in advance, and I didn’t want to. I said I had bad experiences and every time I gave money, that I ended up the indictment – said Mamic.

He said that by reporting the judges he ‘got one work’ And his brother ‘Two Acts’.

– Beware, an angel named Zoran Mamic, neither guilty nor obliged, because I mentioned him that he drove me in the car to Siroki Brijeg to a meeting where I had with Judge Kvesic and where I told my brother to hand over to one person at the club money at one point. Nor did he know to whom I gave it to or why he didn’t even ask me. He can get 10 years in prison because I accidentally mentioned him that he was in a thing that was meant to be at hand. That he was my driver or to me borrowed some money. Therefore, what will I expect from such a system? said Mamic.

Asked if he was outraged, Mamic said, « Not that I’m outraged, I don’t know how alive I am as bitter. »

– You have followed my trial from the beginning, let someone explain to me in this Croatia that I did it atrocity or my brother, that we were judged, and at the same time celebrated athletes who are neither guilty nor obliged … Because now it will turn out to accuse the national team, Luka Modric, and God for me or my children I would like them. People are neither guilty nor obliged. But if I say now, if I committed the work and my brother, and then as they did not commit through whose accounts the money was collapsing and a certain amount of money, in millions of euros, remained in the accounts of one of them. Therefore, we are either all in the work or no one is. But we see that someone is a state and a stepfather’s judiciary, and someone is a mother – said a fugitive from the Croatian judiciary.

He also said he should ‘get the Nobel Prize’ for what he discovered and made ‘to deprive himself of these criminals’.

– You are not interested in the truth in Croatia and simply that I have discovered and that I have done to deprive myself of these criminals, so I should receive the Nobel Prize. I should be a lecturer on the judiciary, at the Faculty of Crime, not to install such a procedure – he told me for RTL today.

He says he would be ready to return to Croatia because « he believes in her. »

« But I would be ready to come back to give me a procedure from the beginning and see what kind of assembly it is, to have an equal situation, » he said.
