Major interest in the international press for elections in Romania
The Permanent Electoral Authority announced on Thursday evening that, in order to observe the presidential elections in Romania, it has issued a total of 299 accreditations of associations and foundations, foreign journalists and international observers.
According to an AEP statement, Agerpres, 87 foreign journalists were accredited to observe the presidential elections in our country.

AEP accredited in the presidential elections of 2025 and a number of 159 international observers.

AEP recalls that representatives of the Romanian media institutions can assist in the operations of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations and/or of the electoral offices for the correspondence vote and have access to the buildings and rooms in which they operate only on the basis of the identity document and the journalist card.
In accordance with the legal provisions in force, the media representatives and observers cannot intervene in any way in organizing and conducting the elections, having only the right to notify the president of the Electoral Bureau in case of irregularity.
