The Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people stated that Russia’s modern policy in occupied Crimea is a direct continuation of Soviet genocidal practice.

Details: The organization emphasized that the total deportation of 1944 was the purposeful destruction of the Crimean Tatar people, and today the Crimean Tatars again face the arrests, persecution and destruction of cultural identity.
