MAE, details about voting abroad
The voting in the diaspora runs in good conditions and no malfunctions have been registered in the sections, no agglomerations or incidents, and the electoral process is carried out in full legality and transparency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states on Saturday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that voting abroad in the second round of the presidential elections arises in good conditions in all 965 polling stations outside the country.
« There have been no dysfunctions in the voting sections, no agglomerations or incidents, and the electoral process is carried out in full legality and transparency, » says in a MAE statement.
According to Law no. 370/2004 and the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 1/2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took the necessary logistics measures so that the Romanian voters from abroad could exercise their right to vote, a fundamental expression of democracy and the constitutional right to choose, the source mentioned.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that in the presidential elections they can vote in the sections organized abroad all the Romanian citizens with voting rights that are abroad, based on an identity document issued by the Romanian authorities and in the validity period.
