Macedonia has great tourist diving potential

The Ohrid underwater club organized a celebration of the 40th anniversary of its existence (1985-2025) and the Third Congress of Divers of Macedonia at the Inex Olgica Hotel at the Inex Olgica Hotel. This was a great opportunity to show the history of the club's existence and its activity over the past years, as well as the following activities ahead.
– The tourist potential of diving is huge. A guest from Croatia told us that only 30-40% used the diving tourism potential we have, but the state and the city still need to participate in the affirmation of these potentials. We are ready to wear and welcome divers tourists at any time, and the state can help greater advertising and promotion of tourist fairs. A convincing top diving location on Lake Ohrid is Trpejca. It has a great depth, and our divers go down to 80 meters with compressed air. Also St. Naum is the location where many foreigners come to dive. They cannot believe what is in Ohrid. The clearness and cleanliness of the lake are better for example than the Montenegrin coast, says Dr. Goran Balevski, president of the Ohrid Underwater Club.
In all major tourist centers, diving occupies one of the first places in the offer of hotels and tourist guides, says Emil Jovanovic of the Ohrid Underwater Club.
– And in Ohrid, over time, the diving will be validated and these efforts that we are making all these years to take its place and tourists can see what Lake Ohrid is offered, because it is unique and unique. What we have we are nowhere in the world, species of fish, sponges, snails. It is unique and it cannot be seen in the world.
