Actress Lynn van den Broeck and musician Jef Neve have been the victim of Spiking. They told that on Thursday evening in ‘The table of Gert’. « Fortunately I had an entourage that could help me because I had paralysis symptoms, » said Van den Broeck. Jef Neve was less lucky.
Musician Jef Neve (48) fell victim to spiking years ago, whereby someone is stunned through a drink with a view to sexual abuse. After a concert in Brussels, Neve only gone to a café: « Something was done in my drink and I woke up only the next evening, tied up in bed, naked. My apartment was robbed, everything was gone, only my car they found because it was in a parking lot. And there were traces of sexual abuse. I don’t remember anything anymore. »
Neve says that he returned to the cafe after the spiking, but that there were no images of the two men who were next to him in question. He did not report a report to the police: Neve says he « had a subscription to Carglass » at the time because his car window was taken so often. « The last time I went to report the police, they took a selfie with me. I was completely done with it, so I did not report it after that spiking. »
Actress Lynn van den Broeck (32) also tells in the same broadcast that she was stunned with a drink. « I was eighteen and was at a large indoor festival. There was a kind of Rohypnol in my drink, I got paralysis symptoms, I went through my legs, I couldn’t chat anymore. » Van den Broeck suspects that the perpetrator was part of a group of boys with whom she had erected that day. « They treated me, they created trust. I was very lucky that I had an entourage at the time. If I hadn’t had it and they would have taken me, they could have taken me that way. » The actress says she has become more careful. « I think about that very often. When I’m somewhere where it is a bit busier, I always keep my hand above my glass. »
