Luxury watches bring in 2.4 million euros

202 luxury watches stood On Saturday at an auction in the Casino 2000 in Mondorf For sale, 198 have found a buyer. This is announced by Michel Turk, director of the Bureau de Gestion of the Avoir (BGA), the « Luxemburger Word » on request. The BGA had commissioned the auction, as was the case in June last year.

The 198 watches, which largely came from the private property of the real estate entrepreneur Flavio Becca, achieved total sales of around 2.4 million euros, as Michel Turk further reveals. After completing the conclusion, the entire income will flow into a state fund that supports the fight against money laundering, drug trafficking and terrorism financing.

In June 2024, 150 watches were for sale at the first part of the auction, 147 changed owners. At that time, sales was 1.8 million euros.

Flavio Becca was sentenced to a one -year suspended sentence in 2022 for money laundering and embezzlement of company funds. At that time, the 842 watches worth 18 million euros had also been collected. The public prosecutor had accused Becca of paying the watches from his company with money, the clock collection was a private investment.

The BGA did not want to comment on whether more of these 842 watches will be sold at an auction.
