Luxury cruise to the Western Mediterranean changed my views of travel and opened a whole new perspective – life

They say that the most beautiful feeling in the world is when you wake up somewhere you’ve never been before. Now imagine being every morning in another city, in another country, on the second coast, you did not have to pack the suitcase more than once. That made me cruise to the Western Mediterranean on the ship Costa Pacific, says Ivan Andrejić from the site kulturizam.com. It wasn’t just a journey – it was seven days where life turns into a film, and you have a major role. Sea, sun, exciting cities, new people. Luxury, comfort, excitement that does not stop – all this, and much more, care about the elegant cruiser that sails Mediterranean. And that’s why this is not just a story about the places I visited, but feel that the whole Mediterranean became my terrace.

Cruise western Mediterranean on ship Costa Pacifica – Brod Debt almost 300 meters, high than 12 floors, with 4,000 passengers, daily concerts, pools, restaurants, cabins that look at the endless opening – not just a journey. It’s a moving world in a small (I mean, not very little). Luxury in motion. And, which is the most beautiful of everything, it is available to everyone. It’s not a myth, it’s not an exclusive story of the rich – it’s a realistic way to live seven days like you’re a movie star on tour through Italy, France and Spain.
But let’s go in order.

Ships are, historically, the oldest form of international travel. Before the man flew, he sailed. And that was not how – but from the very beginning with the ambition for the ship to be an extension of civilization, comfort, security. In Rome, luxury gals were a status symbol, sailing castles. Today we call them cruisers. Except for empire, but also for me, you and anyone who wants to drink Espresso in Savoni, and the next day to look at the sunset over the azure coast.

Boarding on the cruiser that will introduce you to the Western Mediterranean starts in Genoa or Savons, two beautiful ports of the city on the northwest of Italy. You can reach them with your own car from Serbia for about ten hours, or flight to Milan, and by train directly to the port. It’s all simple. In arrival, you realize that things are functioning. Organization, precision, without crowds – Everyone has its own boarding date that gets an email. In the port you get a ship card – it is the key to the room, passport, wallet and permission for everything on board. Without it, you don’t exist. With her, you can all.

And then the first step – at Costa Pacific. It acts as if you stepped into the second world. Not only because of the luxury of who and how not to be deficient, it is all designed to function with ease, numerous terraces, bars with a breathtime, signed by Mišlin’s stars, concert halls, casinos, theaters, pools, spa centers. At all times on board, something happens – salsa on deck, gala dinner, painting with captain, concert, children’s mini-disco, acrobatic performance. There is no « empty » moment. And most importantly – everything is included in the price. You just should decide whether you will have dinner an octopus on a grilled or most delicious steak and will listen to the master of the Spanish guitar or watch acrobats who participate in Hollywood productions between the two cruisers.

My cabin was with a big window, and every morning I greeted the sunrise above the new town. It’s hard to describe that feeling – you’re lying in bed, and through the glass you see the ship slightly approaches the Spanish coast, as if you were part of some perfect plan you don’t have to take you.

First Station – Savona. The city is not shouted by the metropolis, but it is authentic, the real Italy without Hordi tourists. Narrow streets, old fortress, Italian casualty. People sit on squares, talking, drinking coffee without rushing. An ideal place to get used to the beating cruise. Next morning – French Riviera and for me a brand new destination – Tulon, a city that connects Provenca with azure coast. A short aperol on the terrace above sea and life immediately works easier.

And then – Valencia. The city of the future. The complex of the city of art and science seems to be teleported from the 23rd century. But only a few steps away, the old part of the city reminds you that you are still in Spain – Tapas, medieval churches, locations that are returning from the afternoon siery, and a warm wind that is inserted among the streets. I’ve tried the best paelj in my life here – and I’ll probably get back to her to the east of Spain.

Palma de Mallorca is the next one. A city that looks like a perfect balance between history and hedonism. One of the largest European cathedrals dominates landscape, and small streets lead to a terrace with the most beautiful views of this stone town. You get out of the maze of the old town and realize you are five minutes from the beach from the dreams. The sea on Mallorca has that shade of blue one filter can’t hear. I spent the afternoon on the beach, and evening on the roof of the ship – a cocktail in my hand, the wind in my hair, the city in the distance. Is it small?

Sardinia, specifically Olbia and the emerald coast, is a completely different story. Everything smells of pine and salt everything here. The sea is unreal, and the beaches seem unprotected without crowds, hundreds of meters of the finest sand only for you and all shades of turquoise and blue. There is no excessive tourism – only nature, quiet and the most beautiful and most exotic beaches of the Mediterranean. They don’t call Sardinia just so European Maldives. Swimming in Sardinia is an experience for itself. In the morning you are on board from dreams, afternoon on sandy beach, and in the evening back on the cruiser who is already moving towards Rome.

Last day – Rome. The ship fits in alive, from where you have the option to arrive organized or individually at the center of Rome. And yes – even in a day you can see a lot in the eternal city. Colosseum, forum, fountain di trevi, pantheon, trastevere. Rome doesn’t take a lot of time to win you. And he doesn’t need an introduction to him. Just walk, breathe, absorb beauty … and try yelato.

And what is the most beautiful thing about the whole story? All this time, you are on the same ship, in the same room, without packaging, without a change in the hotel, without losing weather to airports and trains. Every day a new city – but no stress. Cruise connects two things that usually do not go together – adventure and absolute comfort.

Price? Less than you would pay for classic holiday in Greece or Turkey if you include flights, hotels, meals and transportation. Everything here is turned on. And if you are smart and reserves earlier, or « at the last minute, » you can pass and surprisingly convenient.

And for the end, something else that pleasantly surprised me – an environmental aspect. Although at first glance it seems that huge ships cannot be « green », cruising can actually be more sustainable way to travel than thoughts. When 4,000 people visit the seven destinations within one trip, using the same transport, the same life and joint resources, the total minor, but when all these people traveled to hotels and moved from town to city. Instead of hundreds of flights and thousands of cars – a smart organized means of transport, and in addition, even luxuriously.

Even Greta Tunberg, a symbol of the ecological awareness of the new generation, chose the ship as his means of travel across the ocean. And perhaps it says the best – that sustainability does not necessarily mean the comfort of comfort, but a smarter choice of ways we live and travel.

So – if you want an experience that changes perspective, if you want to wake up in seven cities in seven days, to dine with string quartet, swim in three seas and forget what stress looks like – just boarding. Cruise is not a journey. Cruise is a way of life.

And just something else I don’t forget the most important … perhaps the most beautiful part of the whole cruise is neither in cities nor in dinners, nor in concerts. The most beautiful part is the people you will meet. Travelers from all over the world – families from Brazil, couples from Japan, Pensioners from France, young people from Slovenia and Italy I met – all together, all on the same ship. Although we come from different cultures, we speak different languages, on board like we are all talking the same, we all understand each other. You meet people at the pool, for breakfast, in the elevator. Share your smile, advice, enthusiasm. The whole world is expensive to the same deck – and breathes the same rhythm, expires kulturizam.com.

Then you realize that cruising is not just a vacation or a trip – it changes your perspective. It shows you how civilization can function when people gather around beauty, curiosity and respect. On board I first really felt how diverse our planet was, and yet basically – unique. And if something touched me mostly in this experience, it was not a look at the azure coast or light valension – but that feeling that the world can be a family. If it was possible to live together, get to know each other, learn from each other and sail to something better together.
