Luxembourg on the way to the Euroskills 2025
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is preparing for its talents at the 9th. To send Euroskills into the race. The professional competition will take place from September 9th to 13th, 2025 in HERNING.
« This European competition focuses on the professional skills of young people in such different areas as carpentry, computer science, cooking or mechatronics, » explains the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth on Friday. « This year, 20 young professionals from Luxembourg will be represented in 17 disciplines. Their commitment testifies to the quality of vocational training in Luxembourg and the strength of its dual training system. »
In order to be able to participate in the championship, the young candidates at the Luxskills had to qualify in early 2024. Claude Meisch, Minister of Education, Children and Youth, explains: « Our young candidates are much more than just participants, they are ambassadors of our know-how, our ambitions and our future. »
During the EuroSkills, more than 600 participants between the ages of 16 and 25 will compete against each other from 33 European countries and regions in 38 professions. For three days, the young candidates have to demonstrate, according to the ministry, « not only their expertise, but also their passion and talent. »
The Euroskills take place every two years. The organizers expect 100,000 visitors: pupils, students, teachers and representatives from industry, trade and craft.
