Luxembourg football player released two rapsongs

Yvandro Borges experienced a difficult year on the soccer field. The national player has been thrown back several times and no longer seems to play a role in the planning of the Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach. The test standards of the FLF selection in the Stade de Luxembourg against Slovenia on June 6th and against Ireland on June 10th come too early, according to coach Luc Holtz.

After all, Borges could pursue another passion. On Friday he released his first two songs under the artist’s name YBS – the complete name of the footballer is Yvandro Borges Sanches. An elaborately produced video was shot about “Business Class”, but “Désoler” can also listen to the FLF player fans on platforms such as Spotify or YouTube.

On Instagram, Borges received a lot of encouragement from his national teammates who support the new project of the 21-year-old. His skills as a rapper have been known for a long time. When the YouTuber Florian Gautier accompanied the former international Maxime Chanot 2022 as part of the « Deux Nuits Avec » series, he filmed how Borges performed in front of the entire team. Three years later, he publishes his first songs.

It is nothing new that footballers try to try footballers. Already legends like Pelé or Franz Beckenbauer once stepped in front of the microphone. In the recent past, the Dutch Memphis Depay caused a sensation as a rapper.

So far, YBS has not reached such a large audience. By Sunday morning, “Business Class” was called up a little more than 1,000 times on YouTube. If you believe Leandro Barreiro and Christopher Martins, it is only a matter of time before the young footballer will really get started as a rapper.
