« Lukoil Bulgaria » has again a Bulgarian governor
He has started as a legal counsel and has also held key positions over the years. The change took place in April, as it is visible in the Commercial Register. Velichkov is also in the Supervisory Board of the Burgas refinery « Lukoil Neftochim ».
This is the first Bulgarian to become the manager of Lukoil Bulgaria after the long -standing management of Valentin Zlatev. In the interval between Zlatev and Velichkov, the post was entrusted to representatives from outside.
The change is happening at an important moment for the Russian Lukoil, which since the end of 2023 has been in the procedure for selling the refinery in Burgas and the rest of its local business. However, the megasm is more stagnant and it may not happen in the end.
The Energy Commission did not support the Lukoil business’s business
Alexander Velichkov replaces Ivo Guido Hosquens. He had a Belgian passport and became manager about two years earlier in the spring of 2023.
In 2023, Lukoil Bulgaria is in third place in the list of the largest companies in the country on the basis of its revenues of BGN 6.3 billion. It has warehouses in wholesale, as well as with a retail chain of over 220 sites and 2315 employees in 2023.
