The Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukaschenko Has released a convicted oppositional from custody at the request of the United States, which also has a US pass. US foreign minister Marco Rubio announced the release of a US citizen. Lukaschenko’s spokeswoman Natalja Ejsmont confirmed in Minsk that it was Yuri Senkovich (47).

USA proud of release under Trump
Rubio wrote in the social network X, within 100 days of President Donald Trump in office, « the release of 47 wrongly imprisoned Americans was reached » – also in Russia, Afghanistan and Venezuela.
The dictatorial ruling Lukaschenko is internationally similarly isolated as its closest ally, Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. In view of the approach between Russia and the United States, Lukaschenko tries to improve his own wire to Washington with gestures such as the prisoner freedom. (APA/dpa)
